My Campaign Message:

I am running for Mayor of the City of Compton to pull all Compton residents, community and business leaders, activists, and public benefit organizations together...

to effectively overcome the damage wrought by COVID
establish sustainable food security
revive economy through small to midsize business start-ups
swiftly repair the entire infrastructure of the city streets
reimagine an innovative city that truly works for everyone

Together, we will develop policies on public hospitals, mass transit, affordable housing, commercial development, policing, and other issues we face.

We can't do this alone. None of us can.

Over the next few months, as we build this movement in all four of our districts, we will be partnering with community members, leaders, impacted-workers, activists, educators, artists, and business owners -- quite simply, anyone ready to do the work -- to organize the People's Assembly to "Build Compton Better!" for a bold new future.

None of us lead single issue lives, but we know that some issues are a higher priority to each of us than others.

On the road to the mayoral election, I, LaMar Willis, received the endorsements of both the Compton Chamber of Commerce and the "official" Concerned Citizens of Compton, Inc.

I extend my gratitude to both organizations for recognizing my efforts and campaign work. I am deeply humbled and proud of receiving both organizations' support in my journey to become the next mayor to serve all the citizens of our beloved city.

To everyone actively involved in the Compton Chamber of Commerce and the "official" Concerned Citizens of Compton, Inc., their respective member bodies, and especially both organizations' leadership, thank you for your encouragement and support which keeps me energized and on course, working for the community.

In this mayoral election cycle, I have formidable opponents who each possess the admirable traits and strong desire to be involved in our community. Once elected, I hope to work with all of them post election; and I promise to work with the entire community, especially with greater Compton's charitable, faith based and business communities going forward.
